Once we got to her porch, my knees were trembling. Not from exhaustion, but from the anticipation of what was to come. I haven't the slightest idea of why she would want me to come to her home yet. I had only known this girl for less then thirty minutes. I was a bit afraid to go inside.
"Watch yourself." Caley said, as she stepped on her creaky front steps.
On her porch were a couple of raggedy lawn chairs. I considered this to be strange since she seemed so well kept. I looked towards the sky, seeing if it could ready me for this new beginning. Beginning of what I was unsure of, but I knew something was afloat on the horizon. Waiting for me to get there, rowing her little boat and waiting.
Then she was right there again, this vision of beauty, opening a door of light into my darkness.
There wasn't anything particular on the inside. Sort of looking like my place, only with different accessories. I liked this though, I seemed to have liked it too much maybe. Because now I was smiling enough to show my teeth. She saw this of course, giggling a tad bit.
"So are you going to get your sweater? Or are we done walking?"
"Nope, we are done with that."
"Okay, then should I leave?"
"Why would I bring you here for nothing, Samuel?"
"I do not know, Caley. I'm still unsure as to why I am here at all."
"Why would you not be here?"
"Why should I be here?"
"Because I want you to be and that is that."
"Alright, I still do not understand though. I wont argue any further."
"Good, I don't understand why you are here either. Something brought me to you Samuel, I know it. Because I was lost myself, looking for something new. Then I found you sitting on those shitty benches and it just feels right, you know? Everything is falling into place. Just as you have fallen into my place. You are here right now for some reason."
"Well maybe so, that does make sense." She was very convincing, very convincing indeed. Very nice as well; that just sounded like a proposal. I thought she was in love with me by the sound of it. But I shook it off.
"So what is it you want to do then?" I asked.
"I want you to come over and sit by me, okay?" An interesting reply, I sat.
She looked at me, I was already doing so at her. This time I did something I would consider "smooth", I held her hand in mine. Her soft, cute little hand was now in mine. Then she moved in closer and I held not just her hand, but all of her. Her body in my arms. I looked into the green and blue specs of her eyes and got lost into oblivion.
Nothing could be better, then being lost in those pools of lust forever.

A girl with a pretty face.
My legs tired from walking for the past four hours, I decide to take a rest and sit on a bench. This town being in middle America, the benches were painted red, white, and blue. To me this was extremely tacky, reminding me of a pair of cameo couches I had seen in a department store earlier that week.
I can't begin to imagine why someone would want this. Maybe I need to have a little more respect for this country. Which will never happen for me. Everyone else around here seems to have their love for America on lock down.
Let us not go there though, my view of this place is not the greatest. I cannot stand this "Freedom." It is too much for me.
While I am sitting, waiting for my legs to retrieve some of their strength, now sort of fuming in a way. I become accompanied by someone. I didn't even have to look, I could just feel them next to me. Finding it a bit odd that someone would come sit next to me (I am not by any means considered to be normal around here).
"Hello there, is something the matter?" Some girl said.
Immediately my face filled with blood. I most definitely am not used to random girls sitting next to me for no reason asking if I am alright. I'm very shy towards females, never really knowing what to do or say to them.
Turned away from her, unsure of what to say, I feel something touch my shoulder. Realizing it was her hand that had touched me, I was shocked. I fumbled for words, she wasn't going to go that easily. So, in my bewilderment, I had said what I was thinking, "Why are these benches painted how they are? It is so ridiculous."
In an agreeing tone, she said, "That is very true, along with all of the flags up and down main." Yes, there are American flags up and down the main street in town. And it is even more ridiculous than those benches. "But I do not have an answer for you, I'm sorry."
Now being more at ease with this new person, I look at her. Seeing what I saw, I looked away once again.
She came and sat next to me? My god she was gorgeous. It had only took me a quick glance to see this. I was confused more now than before, "Why did you come sit next to me?" I said with wide eyes.
In a shy voice she replied, "You looked lost and I thought maybe I could help." My stomach dropped as if I had won the lottery, which I felt like I had.
I was uncomfortable now that she had said this, the level of cuteness was intense. I wondered if she had said that as an excuse. Well, I didn't really wonder, I knew. I felt embarrassed being so reclusive, she probably thought I wasn't half bad.
I looked at her again, giving her one of my half smiles that I do. Saying, "Thank you, that is very kind of you. But I am fine, to be honest." For whatever reason, a huge smile came across her face.
Positive that she liked me in some way, with the touch of my shoulder and that beautiful smile, I asked her for her name. "Caley, and yours?" She was blushing a little, I almost died. Her name was even cute.
I was awestruck, but I said calmly, "Samuel, my name is Samuel." This was getting to be too much for me, as she giggled. I had nothing more to say really, I just wanted to sit there and fantasize about her. Not in a perversive way though, but in more of a sensual way.
Then Caley asked, "Would you like to walk with me, Samuel?" Being only five minutes since I sat here, I did not want to move yet. My legs felt like stones.
"Of course, sitting here is a bit dull." I said. How could I say no to that face? She has blue-green eyes and blond hair, I noticed. Which I now adored, usually I like darker hair and blue eyes. Suddenly, I did not want that anymore. She was all I wanted now.
Feeling the cool, early night air on my naked arms, I untied the sweater I had wrapped around my waist and put it on. I am not one for the cold weather, always having to put something else on once it got below sixty-five degrees.
She was only wearing a t-shirt and jeans, so I asked, "Are you a bit chilled with what you have on?" Caley replying through a smile, " Yeah, a little bit. We are almost to my place though, only two and a half more blocks."
"Your place?" I said, not meaning to say that out loud, but only in my thoughts.
"Yes, my place." She looked at me this time she said it. I kept looking forward. Afraid that if I looked back at her, I would blush, yet again.
This time I thought fear was useless, so I looked.
Her eyes sparkled in the sun like diamonds, as she took my hand. Leading me to a lovely place. Her place. Caley's place.

The simple man with a green hat.
The street now losing it's freedom, it being a little after five, I choose to obey the man's wishes and walk the sidewalk. Soon enough, I come upon another man with a hat.
Strange, it seems as if every man in this small town wore one.
Mowing his lawn on his green rider mower, with his hat being green, as well; He waves at me with a friendly smile. Knowing the man, him being my dentist at some time in the past, I waved back with what I thought was an equally kind smile.
My throat and nose now stinging from the freshly cut grass, being that I have allergies. I disliked it when everyone in town decided to all mow their lawns on the same beautiful day, simply depressing.
I noticed that his lawn was somehow greener than his hat and mower; I wondered how he got it so bright and luscious.
For some reason or another, I respected him in a peculiar way.
His dog Sammy, a golden retriever, was out. Being how that breed of dog is, he instantly came up to me. We each exchanged greetings, mine being a few scratches behind the ear, his being a 'sniff' 'sniff' 'sniff' of my pants at the knees.
Bidding a farewell to Sammy, I continued on my way. Thinking that, (even though he had it all, with money, a wife, kids, Sammy, and even that fancy hat/mower combination) I did not envy him really, just respected him in that peculiar sort of way.
I did not fully understand why I felt this way, either.
